Mansi Stays & Bathing is proudly owned by Sale local Pam Gibson and her family. Sale is both our home and a close-knit community we care about.
A stay at Mansi gets you closer to the history and heart of Sale and the beautiful Gippsland region. We like to say we have the heart and soul of a Victorian country town with a forward-thinking spirit and deep passion for wellness at our core.
Over the past decades as our town has grown, many corporate hospitality chains have become part of the community. Mansi Stays & Bathing remains privately owned and run by our dedicated team of Sale locals. Meet our founder
Pam Gibson is a creative and purpose-led entrepreneur and the driving-force behind Mansi. But this isn’t her first commercial venture, Pam has started and grown several diverse businesses over more than 4 decades.
It’s fair to say that Pam doesn’t shy away from being a pioneer and doing things a bit differently. Stepping away from one family business in 2014, Pam followed her passion for property development and the idea for Mansi was created.
Pam saw the opportunity for a bespoke accommodation in Sale that would serve the long-term corporate travellers coming to the area. She developed the Mansi property as a unique stay that would feel like home. It was this vision that saw Mansi evolve as a village-style community of townhouses rather than the traditional motel-style accommodation typical to the area.
A cancer diagnosis for Pam’s husband Gavin was the catalyst for a new addition at Mansi. Happily Gavin made a full recovery, but travelling to Melbourne for alternative treatments took its toll. Pam recognised the need for wellness therapies to be available closer to home in regional Victoria.
Since then Pam and her team have invested time, research and capital in building the Mansi Wellness Spa. This unique retreat and wellbeing studio includes natural mineral bathing, a program of movement and mindfulness classes and an innovative selection of bio-wellness therapies.
Of course, Pam and her team continue to innovate and enrich Mansi Stays & Bathing and the Sale community. We like to say there’s something in the water here at Mansi; certainly there are always new ideas bubbling away under the surface.
Our story
1980’s
‘Sale Nursery’ the first known enterprise at 474 Raymond Terrace is established.
2012
The Gibson family purchase the nursery site, including the historic Victorian ‘Butcher’s House’ and construction of the first townhouses begins.
2013
The first Villa and Georgian townhouses are opened and we begin welcoming guests.
2017
‘Mansi on Raymond’ expands, opening our 10 two bedroom Terrace townhouses – notable by their row of rainbow of front doors.
2021
The Natural Mineral Water spring is built on-site and mineral bathing is first introduced at Mansi.
2023
Our wellness offer continues to expand with the introduction of Mineral Day Bathing, Retreat hosting and bio-wellness services.
